I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and maybe you already have the answer. What does "Organic Gardening” mean, and where did this term come from? The term "Organic Gardening" was made up by a grocer's son named Jerome Rodale in 1940, further back in the 20th century. Mr. Rodale was part owner of an electrical equipment company who founded the very influential magazine named Organic Gardening, which still is published today. You have probably brought some of their other publications that are published under the Rodale signature. He didn’t necessarily create the techniques of “Organic Gardening”, but he made it a brand. Another way to say it is, he started the American movement and I’m just catching on to it.
I realized it's so easy to move forward as if things that are, always were, without digging to find out the origin. In seeking out the origin, one continues to learn.
